Rocket Kitten is an advanced persistent threat (APT) that has been identified by security researchers in 2019. It is believed to be associated with Chinese intelligence agencies and is designed to steal sensitive information from governments, military organizations, and private companies around the world. The APT uses a variety of tactics such as spear-phishing emails, watering hole attacks, and malware injections to gain access to its targets\' networks. Once inside, Rocket Kitten can exfiltrate sensitive data from compromised systems or install additional backdoor tools for future exploitation. The APT is named after a popular Chinese cartoon character called \"Rocket Cat\" (also known as \"Rocket Kitten\").

Techniques, tactics and practices:

The advanced persistent threat known as Rocket Kitten employs a variety of techniques to gain access to its targets\' networks. Some of these include spear-phishing emails, watering hole attacks, and malware injections. Once inside the network, it can exfiltrate sensitive data from compromised systems or install additional backdoor tools for future exploitation. The APT is also known to use social engineering tactics such as impersonating legitimate organizations or individuals to gain access to its targets\' networks. Additionally, Rocket Kitten has been observed using zero-day vulnerabilities and other advanced techniques to bypass security measures in place on compromised systems.
