Privacy
  • No - anything you send or receive is open
  • Yes - in so far as is allowed legally. Your messages are private.
  • Some - the ability for outsiders to see what you are sending or receiving is a bit more difficult, but not impossible
Encryption
  • No - you are not getting encryption to protect your messages from interception and easy reading
  • Yes - encryption is in place. However, messages can be intercepted and then must be cracked
  • Some - a portion of the sends/receives is protected by encryption, but the protection is unreliable
Censorship
  • No - to date. the provider has not demonstrated censorship in any concerning way
  • Yes - they censor. Usually against viewpoints they disagree with
  • Some - the overwatch government(s) have stepped in and censored things their country does not like
Overwatch
All messaging systems are subject to overwatch by at least one government. The question is: which one(s)
